Placing Broker – North American Markets

Excellent opportunity now available to join an international, owner-managed Lloyd’s Broker headquartered in the UK with offices in Canada and Europe. They provide a great place to work for those who wish to progress their career and stay somewhere for the long term, with a real team culture!

This broker specialise in Professional Indemnity, D&O, Medical Malpractice, Management Liability, Healthcare and General Liability risks originating from direct ‘Retail’ clients and from their global partner brokers (Wholesale business).

In line with some very strong growth in 2022 and early 2023, they are seeking a highly driven Placing Broker with a strong focus on Canada to grow and then manage their Canadian book of risks.

You will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects, with experience in placing Canadian business into the Lloyd’s Market.

You will be required to develop new business with new and existing Canadian regional brokers by placing business into Lloyd’s of London and London Market insurers as well as leverage existing insurer relationships in placement of risks / facilities for the business.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have minimum 2 years’ experience in liability broking/underwriting, with existing relationships with underwriters. Salary on offer is £40-70k dependent on experience and track record, plus bonuses and benefits.

Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, and this firm operate a hybrid and agile working model.
