Commercial Account Executive – Book to inherit!
Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an independent Insurance broker on the Essex/London borders with impressive long-term growth plans, who are keen to expand their team with the appointment of a commercially astute Commercial Account Executive. There is an existing book of business to inherit currently standing at £200k commissioned income, made up of a variety of risks for Property, Liabilities and Financial Lines. They need to you come on board to manage this, with the aim of continuing to grow your book.
Being a non-corporate independent, they can offer someone some genuine freedom, in a role that will be critical to the overall success of the business.
This Broker handles a wide array of commercial risks, with a particular specialism working with Construction, Engineering, Retailers, Transportation, Manufacturing and Food and Drink industry clients as well as some HNW business.
They are looking for someone with good technical ability across all classes of Commercial Business, being someone who can deal with the above types of clients and be a fountain of insurance knowledge, whilst also possessing the charisma and gravitas needed to help retain business and win new business.
As their Commercial Exec, you will be responsible for looking after clients for all types of commercial insurance which will include Commercial Combined, Shop, Office, Liability, Motor Fleet, Professional Indemnity, BI and D & O.
In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have a proven track record in Commercial Insurance, gained working in a broking sales environment. Individuals who are working towards the CII (or above) qualifications would be preferred however this is not essential.
You will also need to have a highly professional demeanour, being smart and well presented, inspiring trust and confidence in your clients and colleagues alike.
On offer is a salary of £45-60k, depending on experience. 22 days holiday to start (plus 2-3 days at Christmas off), Pension, Death in Service and potential PMI, with home working Monday and Friday.
Office hours are Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.30pm
