Group Finance Director
Job Description
Group Finance Director now required to join a rapidly growing and forward-thinking wholesale Lloyds insurance broker.
Due to continued growth within the group, they are now actively seeking a full time Operational Finance Director required to offer guidance and support on the group’s revenue growth, financial monitoring, operational oversight and corporate governance from an operational and strategic level.
You will ideally have insurance and London Market (Lloyd’s) experience in a similar role and able to identify and solve challenges.
You will be responsible for driving the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks, working alongside the management team and external accountants retaining awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems.
You will also be able to set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system as well as set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel (management accountants, internal auditors etc.)
Be responsible for overseeing all audit and internal control operations, prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis and conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to the board.
You will also ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines, produce monthly and quarterly management accounts for the group and subsidiaries and manage and maintain departmental budgets.
To be considered for this role you will need proven experience as Finance Director or in a similar role, coupled with an in-depth knowledge of London Market / Lloyd’s of London insurance-related finance (broker/insurer level) and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting is also required along with advanced use of MS Office package, Power BI and financial management software (e.g. Xero)
You will also possess an analytical mind with a strategic ability!
Office hours are 9am to 5:30pm with an hour for lunch with Friday being able to be worked from home. Salary on offer is £75,000 – £125,000 + bonus + share options, plus company benefits such as Private Healthcare and Private Dental care plans, and annual bonuses.
