Commercial Account Executive (Small book of business to inherit)

A growing broking group, who have the backing of a larger group are looking to add a new Account Executive, based at their Chesterfield office. They are keen to speak with those who are used to dealing with a good cross section of commercial policies, and a proven track record of developing new business within the commercial insurance broking space. They are happy to provide a small book from the off also currently sat at £100k income!
The firm specialises in providing insurance solutions to a diverse range of commercial and personal customers, and has a very good reputation locally, with very good retention rates.
There will be some clients to inherit here, so you will be tasked with retaining these and tasked with building your own book of business on top of this, and able to target business across the UK. They will provide full back-office support, marketing support and accounting assistance.
To be considered for this role, you will need at least 5 years’ experience gained in a similar commercial new business/account executive type position, and ideally have the Cert CII qualification, although applicants qualified through experience are also invited to apply. They are also happy to consider sales focused Account Handlers who want to make the leap into a new business role. Above all you will be an ambitious and driven commercial insurance professional with a confident demeanour, a genuine relationship developer, and commercially astute.
Basic salary on offer is £45-50k, plus excellent bonuses. Office hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, with hybrid working.
